Who we are:
Corporate Banking has several families responsible for building their own digital products for corporate customers.
Digital Platform is a family within Corporate Banking housing Software-, Automation- and Test engineers. We are organized in autonomous teams with DevOps responsibilities for different product and channel areas serving DNB’s more than 200 000 Corporate customers. The teams consisting of Product Owners, Techies, UX designers and others. We have some teams already working in AWS, and we have some teams that is about to start the journey to get there. We have a great mix of well experienced engineers, and more junior engineers coming straight from school.
We aim to build and further develop the strong engineering culture. Agile ways of working are preferred in the different teams. We have established profession groups between the different teams to share knowledge and experiences within the profession you work on. E.g. once a week we have Tech Talks with different topics within Tech - the goal to inspire, and boost the knowledge sharing and learning.
Your mission as a Fullstack Engineer:
As a Fullstack Engineer, you will join a team of engaged and dedicated engineers who are working to build personalized customer experiences. Together with us you will build and maintain responsive web pages and prototypes, frameworks, and integrations. You will interact closely with IT Architects, Product Owners, UX designers and other Developers.
You’ll participate in everything from design, implementation, quality assurance, experimentation, testing, deployment, monitoring and documentation of the services we build and maintain. We focus on creating the best developer experience towards our services and contribute to best practices and knowledge sharing internally as well as externally. In this position, you will play a significant role in exploring, defining, and scaling our future revenue streams.
What we are looking for:
We are looking for Engineers with a growth mindset who inspire colleagues and external partners, with a mix of humbleness, but also can take the lead. You are passionate about technology and have a strong interest in learning about and playing with new technologies. But almost equally important is your ability to be a good team player and that you understand the need to cooperate with others in order to reach great results.
Background and technical skills:
We are looking for skilled Fullstack Engineers with strong knowledge in Java (Spring Boot / Micronaut), JavaScript (React / Node.js), and have skills in designing, building, and maintaining REST / GraphQL APIs. It is also an advantage if you have experience with Jenkins / GitLab or other build systems.
We prefer that you have completed higher technical education, but we also acknowledge that extensive relevant experience may make up for this. You must be fluent in English (both oral and written). Norwegian skills are a plus, we can offer some courses if needed.
It is also a big plus if you have experience with one or more of the following:
It is an advantage if you have experience with optimizing components for high performance and security. You will be working with Amazon Web Services (AWS), and we can offer training in this. For frontend programming it is an advantage if you have experience in translating design and wireframes into high quality code and have knowledge of compliance regulations regarding accessibility (WCAG).
We have high ambitions for our customer facing applications, so a demonstrated passion for user experience design and improved user-friendliness is preferable. You should understand automated testing, continuous integration, and deployment practices.
