The mission
Sanity.io is a startup building world-class cloud-based content infrastructures at enterprise scale. Our passion is to enable developers of all kinds to work with editors in creating efficient flows of content within organizations. We craft delightful interfaces for content creators, let developers integrate workflow across systems while freeing designers to tailor inspiring presentations to specific platforms.
Sanity.io has been in production for more than three years but launched publicly in November 2017. The best products are built bottom-up and we, therefore, emphasize a developer-centric approach focused on our community. User experience and design are the keys to our long-term success.
We are passionate people making extraordinary things. Yet we also know that building a business is not a sprint, but a marathon. We, therefore, strive for a work/life balance that will let us perform in the long run. Next year we are opening our second office in San Francisco and will relocate two co-founders to build our US business.
Your work
As our user base grows we are seeing a steep increase in people who want help and guidance in building their data models, their content logic and associated infrastructures. In your work, you will deal directly with the people using Sanity, in large and small organizations. You will give advice on the use of Sanity as well as the broader content infrastructure stack.
You should like getting to know people, exploring how they reason about the challenges they have and finding solutions to how those challenges can be met with Sanity. The assistance you render will often be in the form of brief specifications, code examples, sketches of data models, Sanity demos and convincing sketches of front-end projects.
Since a large portion of our stack is open source, you’ll also enjoy being a part of a great and growing community of developers. Sometimes you might also assist our developer advocate in making outstanding and inspiring examples of Sanity in action.
You can be based in Oslo or San Francisco Bay Area, but should, in any case, spend a considerable amount of time in Oslo. Working language is English.

Sanity.io consists of an MIT licensed editor written in Node.js and React that enables developers to build inspiring authoring tools for their editors. This is an opportunity for you to play to your strengths and creativity - and dive deep into small and large customer projects and help them find good solutions.
We believe you should have a strong background and experience from IT projects and understanding the broader solution architecture for maximizing the value of Sanity. Since you will get significant responsibility for our customer's journey, we expect that you are structured and self-driven.
You have a track record of writing code, ideally working in a team setting. As customization in Sanity is done in JavaScript you master the language. You have a keen interest in the evolving web development ecosystem: microservices, no-ops solutions like Netlify and Zeit as well as static site generators.
But most of all you enjoy chasing big goals and are intrigued by the opportunity to change way the world deals with content for the better.
