We are looking for a Linux guru to take on the position as our Deployment Engineer, being responsible for preparing Linux (CentOS or RHEL) for deployment with our air traffic control systems (InNOVA). This includes system configuration, handling of software management across servers and workstations, in addition to software development based on our Qt/C++/Linux platform.
You will be a part of an experienced team consisting of about 35 in-house programmers. We are facing an exciting new phase of major expansion. Would you like to join the team of professionals?
Areas and tasks of responsibility:
Actively participate in defining software management strategy (branching, merging etc)
- Prepare our InNOVA application software for installation
- Handle system configuration
- Handle software management across servers and workstations
- Software development based on our Qt/C++/Linux platform, with strict requirements for robustness and quality
- Maintain our in-house Linux servers
To succeed in this role, you must have finished a higher technical education on minimum bachelor level. You have deep knowledge of Linux, including packing, customization, scripting and deployment. Knowledge of system security, including Linux hardening is desirable. We believe you have good insight of Ansibel or other deployment tools, in addition to programming skills within C/C++.
