As a member of our in-house development team, you will help us improve our existing systems to take care of new business requirements driven by our organisation and industry.
You will, together with your team, create new solutions to ensure our business stay competitive and to continuously update the Gard technology stack.
We work on cross-technology API's to support our development teams in integrating our systems.

We are in the middle of a major digital transformation, as is the maritime industry as a whole, and we are developing key operations to support and deliver digital services both to our colleagues and our customers.
At the core of this development are our supporting systems; developed, operated and supported by our experienced in-house team. We are now looking for team members to join us, as part of the team you will be involved in projects from the original idea, their design, implementation, testing through to delivery and its ongoing maintenance and growth, the team is self-governing within the development area and your daily tasks will be interesting with full support to hone your skills across the technology stack. Good communication skills are required as liaising with our business users is expected.
Finding the right person is more important than ticking all the right boxes, however, here are some of the important things we think a strong candidate will have:
- Have good skills in modern technologies, C#, Azure, MVC and modern Database’s etc
- Gain Experience from insurance and the financial industry
- Have very good written and oral skills in English
- Have experience with Agile software development methods, software architecture and DevOps
- Be innovative, proactive, and creative combined with being result and business oriented
- Have a strong interest in and understanding of digital opportunities and how they can contribute to improve Gard's performance
- Hold a Master or Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or have a proven record as a solid software developer.
