StormGeo in Bergen is looking for Senior .NET Developer

As a Senior Developer in StormGeo you work on creating and maintaining web applications for clients, weather forecasting systems, portals, and information deliveries from the big data environment.

You will

  • Design, develop and maintain web applications for our international clients in the weather, risk management and energy market domains
  • Work on tools to manage, configure and monitor the delivery of services
  • Work with our Products team to translate complex business requirements into quality software
  • Develop and update technical documentation

  • You will report to Development Manager Weather Insights, Jan Tore Ynnesdal, and you will be based in Bergen, Norway. Working from our Oslo office is an option.

Who you are

You are an experienced Senior Developer who loves to work on business logic and APIs for large portfolio of web applications.

As a person, you’re creative and innovative when building something new and improved. You like working in a team – but you can also finish up a task on your own. You are open to sharing and learning with the team.

We would appreciate a problem-solving attitude, and that you take your own initiative. You should be able to learn existing systems, as well as design new ones using the latest technologies and frameworks.

What do you know?

We believe you have 3+ years of experience in modern agile software development. You have a good working knowledge of web and API development in .NET. You also have experience in SQL database design and usage. You should have an engineering degree or similar education.

It would be great if you also have experience in building, deploying, and running applications either on-premises or in the cloud. Experience in building secure solutions, including security testing, is also beneficial.

In StormGeo, you will be working in an international and distributed team. Good English communication skills are required. Knowledge of Norwegian is only a plus.
