We are looking for a person to join our group of senior developers which are developing applications for the Barco Entertainment division. More specifically for our projection related products and platforms, which are being used in the Global projection markets. You will contribute with your C++ expertise to products which are touching people in their life events, concerts, cinema, museums, theme parks, pixel mapping events and simulators. These products/platforms are co-developed with teams in Belgium, India and China. The position will be located in Fredrikstad, but will have a strong link to our global organization, therefore the right person needs to communicate in English.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for the development of software to support projectors and related equipment in different markets (Cinema, Events, Professional AV, Rental, Simulation, High End Residential and Visitor & Attractions)Contribute and join the discussions on an architectural levelSteer, extend and maintain the software platformOutline and follow up on implementations with the software development engineersResponsible for the functional and technical design, as well as specifications
Profile:
Relevant education and proven experience in software developmentExcellent software development skills in C++, preferable versions 14/17, and PythonUsed to work in a Linux environmentExperience with GITFamiliar with the GNU toolchainExperience with JavaScript, Angular, Node.js and Qt would be considered a plus
