Right now, we are on the outlook for an awesome Solution Architect, strong in writing code and having the ability to bridge the gap between business and digital solutions. Wherever the need is, you will be joining cross-functional teams combining all your competences to design and code quality solutions together with a team before moving on together with the next team. You carry an agile mindset where the entire team together strive to reflect and learn becoming smarter.

For our unit to succeed, the Solution Architect’s competences are just as important as any other role at Tryg. You will add value by putting your competences into play so that we are able to faster understand the technical implications of the business needs and are able to qualify whether those needs are fulfilled and make them technical feasible. It means that you will together with the business and teammates clarify and slice features into deliverable and testable business functionality – and release frequently. You will also work closely with architects in our domain.

About you

You have probably worked as Lead Developer or Solution Architect in a larger international organization and have hence loads of developer experience. Experience that you apply when creating reversible designs and reduce complexity. You have strong Java developer background, a sincere interest in creating quality solutions and can identify remedies to address technical debt. As a person you are curious and interested in staying up to date with the development in the Java world.

We work in diverse and multicultural teams, with both in-house and off-shore members. Therefore, a natural interest for cultural differences and strong communication skills in English are prerequisites for succeeding in the role. As a person you are eager to learn, easy and pleasant to work with and are genuinely interested in helping others succeed. It is an advantage if you have knowledge about Spring Webflow and Spring Frameworks, and have some experience working with the Guidewire ClaimCenter product or have been working in the insurance business domain.

The role is focused on the Guidewire ClaimCenter product and the portals and system landscape supporting ClaimCenter. You must like to share by facilitating technical team and peer events with the purpose to gain insights and understanding of the business needs and with awareness of technical possibilities. Once found, you will together with the team start coding and once the team is confident, you are ready to move on and help the next team with a new problem.

For almost two years ago we launched the first ART, Agile Release Train, with 10 teams delivering a new Claims system to Tryg.
